There is a good choice of white, sandy beaches, all within easy driving distance, where you can enjoy swimming, rock pooling, sailing, windsurfing, sand yatching, kite surfing/ body surfing or just relaxing on the beach. One of the nearest recommended sandy beaches for children is Damgan (20 mins). A beautiful long stretch of beach with sailing school and small seaside town with shops, restaurants and bars. Penvins (30mins) is another long stretch of sandy beach with well stocked rock pools and sailing school.
The Ryuys Peninsula has something for everyone. A long sandy beach – ‘Plage de Fogeo’. For those who love to watch yachts and pleasure craft should visit the marina at Port-Crouesty. The harbour at Port-Navalo is smaller and more picturesque. Find time to walk around the Port-Navalo headland as it is a lovely place.
Some of the larger beach resorts include Carnac and St Pierre-Quiberon. Plenty of beach activities, restaurants and shops.
